It is 2am as of this writing and i have to catch the sunrise tommorow to go snowboarding as I think up in Deerborn County IN at my resort of choice they have finally made some new fresh snow, of course i am a weather weenie i am excited well beyond imagination oh, the limits of speech! Enough bloviating, lets talk weather! I am not going to bother posting new map because to be honest with you not alot of my thinking has changed, Weekends a cool soggy one with flurries late Saturday and the first half of Sunday, Monday is when the cold comes marching in and it will be fridgid, Tuesdays super clipper is giving me flashback of the february 8th 2007 event only this time areawide is fair game (at this point atleast) for some snow, nothing we have never seen but even looking 4 days out I can safely say this has the potential to wreak some havoc travelwise, the thing with clippers like this is they are so fast moving and if you can get say a 6 inch snowfall in 8 or 10 hours there is obviously going to be some bad travel and road issues, again i am not saying we get anything like the above mentioned scenario but the possibility is there and needs to be monitored. As if one clipper were not enough another potent clipper looks to be following right on the heals of this one. A word to the wise with the GFS in the 4 day range what may be happening with the second clipper is it is really with the first and they are just one storm and the model isn’t seperating the two, and secondly and more probable, much more probable actually is the second clipper is going to dig pretty far south and just how far south is hard to say 5.5 days out, needless to say obviously it needs monitoring as well. All this being said, we, or I would hate to get missed with one snow event to the north and then another to the south and the high to be 10, that just wouldn’t be cool LOL, that is the only way i CURRENTLY see someone not getting in on accumulating snows, again Its going to be very cold and its going to be all snow and there is going to be accumulation but how much is the problem and the only formula thats going to solve it is time! I will likely update later tommorow, if i decide to camp tommorow night up in deerborn county indy, i will have an update saturday! Summon the shovel and the long johns, you’ll be glad you did! thanks for reading

vinny, tuesday is too far out, but looking at the latest nam if tuesdays cold as my thinking with the a track like the nam suggested 3,4, or maybe even 5 inches wouldn’t be too far off from my thinking, and snow ratios will be high it will not take much moisture to get decent storm to lay some pow down
