There is just not a whole lot to add to this headline at all! Its going to get bitterly cold around here and highs may not even get out of the single digits later next week if we have snow on the ground speaking of which the latest 0z NAM is turning this into a bad boy clipper with some more moderate QFP totals for the tuesday clipper, intersting though as it is maybe the story will be temps because they are going to be wicked mid to late week, the kind of weather i like to camp in and everyone thinks i am nuts for camping in LOL. Its almost saturday and to make a call on snow totals now would be a gamble obviously its not going to be a blizzard or anything but it could be fairly significant if all the stars align. I will post maps on my thought for totals Sunday midday or later if the models are still showing this system, it seems a safe bet that they will be. Of course a clipper will follow this one late wednesday at like its predecessor may end up having fairly significant potential, nothing crazy but warning critera isn’t out of the question, its thursday of next week that a BADASS of a storm may try to develop and spread snow over alot of the country even in the deep south possibly (assuming the gulf is kept in check, will be intersting to watch how that plays out) reguardless accumulating snow again seems likely late thursday into friday and, of course its going to be hard call it being 5 days out but i can’t see anything from the southern stream of the jet getting to far north or west, in this pattern that’d be near impossible. Things aren’t really changing that much with thought on cold and snow chances, if anything new comes up i’ll be sure to post it.
